While on holiday to Gardenstown, North East Scotland, a man uncovers a mysterious skull buried in the grounds of a ruined kirkyard...
Writer / Director / Actor Douglas was taking a long weekend holiday in the beautiful Scottish Seaside town of Gardenstown, North East Scotland. Not wanting to waste the location, he planned to film several episodes of The Pandora Men and 1 short film, which would be able to be re-edited into an episode of his Sci-Fi Show. While looking at local folklore, he discovered the story of the Kirk Of Skulls, a church built with skulls in the foundations as a celebration of the conflict which had occurred there. Thus, the story was born...
As this was 1 man band, Douglas did everything - camera, sound & acting. With very little script, he essentially made up the entire film based on the history of the Kirk on the hill that overlooks Gardenstown. Filming in April proved tricky, with harsh wind and freezing rain. Throughout production, he was constantly having to shield the camera from the weather or retake shots because of water on the lens. It was not an easy production! Despite this though, he had a lot of fun doing it and enjoyed the experience.
"Trippy! i was watching it alone at 2 a.m. here on VANCOUVER iSLAND AND IT gave me the shivers. Well done! "
"This is excellent. Obvioulsy I am interested in making my own films so I see it from a different perspective. Came here from your WW" film which was eually as good. Inspires me to make my own stuff, but so little time, however, clearly you don't need much time, just the motivation. Will definatly be watching all the others films etc. I want to make spy films but horror is certainly in there. "
"Awesome Doug"
"Creepy"
"Impressive!"
