Two Paranormal Investigators venture to a supposedly Haunted Castle in Scotland, in search of the elusive ghost within. However, as the night draws in, secrets are revealed and truth about Lady Darkwell and Her Castle come to light.
For a hundred years she has roamed the afterlife, trapped in the confines of the castle walls. Her spirit haunts the rooms and the darkened corridors. She paces the walls each night, a vigil on her beloved home. So when two paranormal investigators arrive and threaten the sanctuary of her undead exile...will Lady Darkwell give them a sign?

On a cold winter night in January 2023, we had the privilege on embarking on an incredibly unique project. A good old fashioned Scottish Ghost Story set in a 16th Century Castle. With a massive thanks to the National Trust for Scotland (www.nts.org.uk) , we were given permission to film inside the stunning and beautiful Crathes Castle. Fully prepared and our imaginations bursting, we set out for 1 night of filming inside this building…
When given such an amazing location, your creative imagination really does go wild. How to use such a magnificent location, do it justice in such a short period of time, with no budget? Well, we tried! “Broken Spectres” is full to bursting with creepy ambience, scary lighting and yes the occasional “jump scare" – we tried really hard to create a standard haunted house ghost story with a unique “Chaos Box” twist. Filmed in the 1 evening, with a small cast and smaller crew, we utilised clever camera techniques to minimise time spent on set, inserting shots filmed at other locations to add to the content.
